Protecting the environment with innovative technology

Alexandr Tulupov, an innovator in fish processing, has introduced innovative methods of fish processing at all three plants where he works. It is noteworthy that the idea of caring about ecology and the environment is shared with him by every plant employee. After all, the purity of the environment affects all the products that will produce in the future. And since Kamchatka is one of the cleanest regions of our country, it becomes almost the main task to keep nature clean. Itelmen Tulupov Alexandr influences the ecology of the region not only by the implementation of innovative technologies in business production but also by scientific-educational activity. Several years ago, Alexandr was invited to one of the leading universities of the Kamchatka region as a lecturer to tell the students about his innovative ideas related to the ecological use of biological resources of our planet in the fishing industry. Alexandr Tulupov, the recognized leader and prominent expert in the fishing industry, gave a course of author's lectures on the careful use of natural resources, telling how he had used all his innovative technologies on his own experience. Alexandr started his lectures with the story of Kamchatka several thousand years ago, about the origins, traditions, and customs of the people, whose direct descendant is the Itelmen. He thinks that the knowledge about his origins will help the young generation to understand the importance of waste-free production and the possession of unique methods of processing, which have been used for thousands of years. After a series of lectures, Alexandr invited students to visit a fish processing plant to see firsthand how innovative technologies are integrated into the industrial process. 

How was the innovative approach to processing developed?

In 2018, Tulupov Alexandr, a sustainable fish production manager, initiated a lab at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of one of the leading universities on the Kamchatka Peninsula to develop innovative fish processing methods as part of a project to develop innovative fish processing methods. Alexandr has been gathering a team of scientists for a whole year, together with whom he will develop modern biotechnology of food systems. During the work on the scientific project, several methods were developed, the most notable of which turned out to be the method of fish blood extraction for subsequent protein processing. This technology made it possible to use parts of fish that had previously been disposed of and were not even expected to undergo further processing. The essence of the method is to conduct electrolytic treatment of raw materials in the process of exsanguination of fish and extract a concentrated clot of valuable substances from the gel formed in the process, consisting of blood and mucus. These substances can then be used to produce fishmeal, fertilizers, and even biologically active additives. 

The innovator in fish processing, Tulupov Alexandr, is not only one of the outstanding members of the team of scientists who have developed unique methods but also the first to implement the development in his production and, by personal example, proved their effectiveness. Implementing this innovative method allowed not only to reduce of harmful emissions of waste into the environment but also to increase the economic indicators of enterprises by reducing disposal costs and increasing profits from using fish raw materials, which were previously disposed of. 

A year after the end of the project, Alexandr, based on the experience of successful implementation of developments, wrote a training manual that tells all about the recycling of secondary raw materials. Thanks to the reading of this work, biology students can already work at the stages of university studies to immerse themselves in studying the most modern and innovative methods of recycling bioresources. The sustainable fish production manager Tulupov Alexandr, received the title of honorary citizen of the Kamchatka region from the governor for his invaluable contribution to the development of the fish industry.
